SVVR’s second Conference and Expo is making every effort to try and deliver on its promise to be “bigger and better than ever” in 2015. For a start, the organisers have significantly upsized the venue, this year holding it at the San Jose Convention Center, CA, boasting 43,000 square feet of floor space.

The conference agenda is now taking shape, with highlights including workshops by Oculus and Leap Motion and talks and panel discussions featuring an array of VR industry luminaries.

Valve’s Joe Ludwig is set to talk Open VR and NASA’s Evelyn Miralles on their use of VR for spacewalk training in the 90s. Other speakers include Brad Herman from Dreamworks Animation, nVidia‘s Nathan Reed, Yuval Boger from Sensics / OSVR and High Fidelity‘s Philip Rosedale and many, many more.

Based in the UK, Paul has been immersed in interactive entertainment for the best part of 27 years and has followed advances in gaming with a passionate fervour. His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift. Paul joined forces with Ben to help build the new Road to VR in preparation for what he sees as VR’s coming of age over the next few years.
