If you needed any convincing that Valve is serious about the Oculus Rift, check this photo for some evidence. Pictured left to right is Michael Abrash, Valve’s VR/AR researcher, Palmer Luckey, the brains behind the forthcoming Oculus Rift HMD, and Gabe Newell, Valve’s managing director and recognized head honcho.
This photo popped up on Reddit two days ago. Luckey mentioned that he needed to take a trip up to Washington last week regarding the Oculus Rift Kickstarter and it seems we know where he went (Valve’s HQ is in Kirkland, WA)! Oculus Rift support from Valve seems even more likely at this point and if so this will be a huge vote of support from one of the biggest names in gaming. We could very well be at the doorstep of modern VR gaming folks. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a wild ride on the Road to VR!
I’m currently on high alert for the Oculus Rift Kickstarter launch, stay tuned!
