EGX, the UK’s biggest gaming show is just around the corner – running for 4 days starting 24th September – and Sony’s newly christened PlayStation VR will be there – but if you want to try it, make sure you ready this.

EGX2015

Update: looks like picking your slot starts Friday 18th despite the page being live now for registrations.

We reported recently that EGX 2015, organised by the Gamer Network, will be the first place the public will be able to try Valve’s forthcoming flagship VR headset the HTC Vive.

EGX have also confirmed that Sony’s Playstation 4 powered VR headset Project Morpheus, now officially named as PlayStation VR, will be at the show, which runs from the 24th September at Birmingham’s NEC.

However, the organisers have warned that slots to try Sony’s new VR hardware will be limited and interested players will need to first register their interest to book a slot during the slow. If that describes you, hit the big red button below this and head over to reserve your PlayStation VR demo from tomorrow (Friday 18th).

EGX Playstation VR Demo Registration Details Here

From the EGX website:

“Please visit the following PlayStation website from 1pm UK time on Friday 18th September to do so. Slots will be limited so it is worth reserving as soon as you know which day you’ll be attending EGX. Players must be over 18 and will, of course, also need a ticket to the show. Booked slots are not transferable.

You’ll be asked to register for an account on the site, and you’ll then just need to select your event (EGX) and choose your time. Demos will start at 10:40, so remember that you’ll need to already have an early access ticket for the show if you’re booking an early slot. Standard Day Ticket entry to the show starts at 11am, so if you have one of these tickets, we’d recommend not booking before 11:40.”

Sony top brass will also be gracing EGX’s stage with everyone’s favourite PlayStation executive, Head of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida, is scheduled to celebrate 20 years of the gaming brand with a Q&A session. Yoshida has been a big supporter of virtual reality, PlayStation VR’s existence being the ultimate testament to that fact.

A few tickets to EGX are still available, if you’re interested, head here and you may snag a few.
