Kink, a San Francisco based adult entertainment studio and network of adult websites, has today taken their first step into virtual reality, offering adult films for playback on Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Cardboard.
Kink claims to be the world’s largest producer of certain genres of adult content, employing some 100 staff and operating more than 30 websites within their network.
Now part of that network is KinkVR, a new website from the company with original content produced specifically for virtual reality, UploadVR reports. Currently the website is offering video downloads formated for the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR, and Google Cardboard.
Officially, Oculus’ Content Standards, which governs content allowed through official Oculus channels, does not allow apps that include “nudity, adult-oriented content, or gambling-related content,” The content offered by KinkVR does not come through Oculus or other major app stores, but is instead downloaded in video format, making use of VR video players for playback.
As part of the KinkVR rollout, the company is offering their own branded version of Google Cardboard through their official storefront.
