Oculus are offering a new Touch launch bundle which packs in 5 of the best supported titles into one $90 bundle.

Oculus Touch launch day is now upon us and the company that brought us the Rift is revving its retail engines to ensure the new motion controllers are as attractive as possible to consumers. The devices ship with over 50 titles available to buy on launch day and has even more packed in for free.

However, in order to entice Touch owners to part with yet more of their cash, Oculus have laid on this new games bundle, sporting some of the most promising launch titles together with an overall discount of 25% at $90. The titles included are HTC Vive favourite Space Pirate Trainer, James Bond puzzle homage I Expect You to Die, Kingspray Graffiti, the extremely promising SUPERHOT VR and newly Touch enabled title The Climb.

Based in the UK, Paul has been immersed in interactive entertainment for the best part of 27 years and has followed advances in gaming with a passionate fervour. His obsession with graphical fidelity over the years has had him branded a ‘graphics whore’ (which he views as the highest compliment) more than once and he holds a particular candle for the dream of the ultimate immersive gaming experience. Having followed and been disappointed by the original VR explosion of the 90s, he then founded RiftVR.com to follow the new and exciting prospect of the rebirth of VR in products like the Oculus Rift. Paul joined forces with Ben to help build the new Road to VR in preparation for what he sees as VR’s coming of age over the next few years.

Sadly I already own the climb which makes this deal obsolete as the value of the other titles combined is only $80. Wish they offered another game in its place like fantastic contraption.

    • Kasper Hviid

      Same case here :-(

  • Firestorm185

There’s also a deal going on in Home right now where any purchase on the Oculus Store gets RipCoil for free. Just bought the Cave Depths rollercoaster and Ripcoill showed up in my library.

    • sibbih

yes, same here! just bought the bundle and ripcoil is now in my library too. so, you can say 6 games when you decide to buy the bundle. nice! or we did miss something and it was already in there^^

      • Firestorm185

I guess Oculus just wanted us to be able to Play Ripcoil really bad! XD

      • Firestorm185

The only thing I’m still wondering about is when Medium and Quill will become available for free (I’ve put in the pre-order code and only the games showed up. The store still lists Medium and Quill as seperate like 30$ purchases.)

  • Firestorm185

Another interesting point I just got: The code they send you for the two preorder titles MUST be redeemed by the end of tomorrow, otherwise you have to buy them both!

    • ShiftyInc

It says 12-6-2017, so you got a whole year.

      • Firestorm185

XD Yeah, I see that now. My bad! So one year from today.

        • Devin

I thought the same thing! Lol then I saw the ’17

      • Get Schwifty!

LOL too funny- I didn’t notice that date of 2017…

    • Get Schwifty!

+ 1 for you – I almost missed this and saw your post and logged in last night at 11:45 my time and got the code redeemed. I literally crawled out of bed after reading this artilcle and your note!

  • Foreign Devil

I pre-ordered TOUCH. . Best Buy Canada sends me a note today saying my pre-order has an expected December 23rd release! FML!

    • Devin

Did you check the stores, I picked up my touch off the shelf, albeit it was 10:30am… No preorder required.

  • a corn

I do want The Climb but its just too expensive to justify. I already have 2 games in this or else would probably just get this package

  • cdm283813

I wish they allowed us to pick and choose games for the $90. Some people may already have these games in their library or games that we don’t want to buy.

  • cdm283813

$34 Arizona Sunshine (Steam), save $6 compared to Oculus
    $25 Superhot (Steam)
    $15 Space Pirate Trainer (Oculus)
$0 Ripcoil free when buying a game on Oculus.

$74 total for 3 games plus 1 free. I can’t fully support Oculus store if they can’t support different headsets. What if HTC releases a cheaper Vive successor next year? Steam appears to be cross platform and they have more content on sale.

    • Taun

Superhot VR is a different game than Superhot on Steam. It requires a separate purchase. I’m assuming it’s a timed exclusive.

    • Get Schwifty!

Oculus is a platform, no doubt. Currently Rift owners get the benefit of both stores, so it all depends how you look at it, you could argue Rift owners have access to the most content but lose out on content not yet designed for Touch, and that is a deciding factor for some folks. As time progresses exclusive titles will undoubtedly show up in Steam, then there is the hack (Revive) to access the restricted software in most cases if you want. The “walled garden” is more popular myth than substance.

Herobound: Spirit Champion is currently free, normally $9.99. Sweet!
