Developer Block Interval is due to treat show goers to 5-7 minutes of gameplay for its brand new “story-centric” VR adventure puzzler Life of Lon at UK based VR event VR World Congress in April.
After spending time getting to know the Oculus Rift DK2, their research led them to hire Therapeutic Heights developer Darryl Dempsey. The company have since then accelerated VR development and are now poised to unveil the game to the public.
The game is described as “13 chapters of story-centric virtual reality gaming that will take you to the stars, under water and through time”. The developers are extremely keen to point out the emphasis on immersive narrative and puzzles, eschewing traditional gaming mechanisms like health bars and experience points.
Life of Lon will debut at UK based VR conference VRWC 2016, held in Bristol, UK on April 12th 2016. The title will be in good company, as Kite and Lightning’s new title Bebylon: Battle Royale will also be unveiled at the show.
In the mean time, check out the luscious concept art featured on the page and check out the Life of Lon website (which is very pretty indeed) to find out more on the game.
