Last week Blue Isle Studios teased that they may be bringing Oculus Rift support to Slender: The Arrival. The studio has confirmed to Road to VR that Rift support is indeed on the way.
“I am happy to confirm that we do have official Oculus Rift support integrated already. We showed that for the first time yesterday and we’d love to roll out that update for everyone as soon as possible,” wrote Alex Tintor, Founder of Blue Isle Studios, in an email to Road to VR.
Slender: The Arrival is based on an experimental horror game called Slender: The Eight Pages by Parsec Productions. In it, the player is haunted through the woods by a mysterious creature who wants nothing but to consume your soul. Slender is definitely on my list of scariest games.
Last week, Blue Isle Studios were in Seattle during PAX. They brought with them a build of Slender: The Arrival with native Oculus Rift support, and were showing it at a community event.
We’re expecting to hear more about Oculus Rift support for Slender: The Arrival in the near future. Stay tuned!
