It has been announced that Katee Sackhoff of Battlestar Galactica fame will be starring in the game Ran, the rebellious leader of the Valkyrie squad.
“Ran Kavik, stalwart leader of the Valkyrie pilots, has been brought to life by the voice of critically acclaimed actress Katee Sackhoff, who has been featured in some of the biggest entertainment franchises of all time, including Battlestar Galactica, Riddick, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Katee is currently starring in Longmire on A&E”, reads the newly updated Eve Valkyrie Website.
Also announced is that Eve Valkyrie on Unreal Engine 4. The new gameplay footage (above) from Eve Fanfest is quite different from what the latest that we had seen a few months ago at GDC 2014. What they’re showing may be the first build on the official release of Unreal Engine 4.
Developer CCP Games announced at GDC 2014 that Eve Valkyrie would ship on the PS4 for Sony’s Morpheus headset, in addition to the Oculus Rift. Reports indicate that the latest build of Eve Valkyrie will be playable at Eve Fanfest on both the DK2 and Morpheus.
The official Eve Valkyrie website has been updated to include some new tidbits about the game:
- Intense team-based multiplayer dogfights
- Fully immersive 360-degree action combat
- Rank and reputation-based character progression
- Choose between fighter, heavy and support roles
- Unlock and customize advanced ships, weapons and equipment
- Change strategies on the fly with loadouts and ship-swapping
