In addition to competing for more than $1 million in prizes, developers can get a little boost during Oculus’ Mobile VR Jam in the form of a $50 credit to the Unity Asset Store.
The Unity Asset Store houses a collection of tools, textures, 3D models, and more, allowing game developers to save time by integrating pre-made assets into their game while focusing their time and energy on their game’s own unique selling point.

For example, the $10 AllSky pack has 140 skyboxes to choose from, making it easy for developers to encompass their creation in a beautiful sky without having to create their own.
All eligible entrants (individual, team, or organization) who complete the Mobile VR Jam’s ‘Milestone 1’ will receive a $50 credit to the Asset Store. Details of Milestone 1, due on April 20th, can be found in the Mobile VR Jam FAQ. Oculus has laid out the requirements for claiming the credit:
- Submit all Milestone 1 materials
- Select Unity as the game engine you’ll use for this competition
- Sign the Terms of Service of the competition
- Enter email used to login to a Gear VR
The credit code will be emailed to each team leader.
