Google I/O 2015 has Virtual Reality on the Menu

Google’s annual developer conference ‘I/O’ appears to be touching on virtual reality with a session dedicated to VR game design at the event.

Google I/O 2015, coming to the Moscone Center in San Francisco on May 28-29th, is the tech giant’s chance to woo developers, share new technologies and generally set the tone for the forthcoming year in the world of Android. And after Google appeared to commit notionally to its (originally experimental) Google Cardboard platform with a collection of initiatives back in April, they seem to be following through with a session dedicated to VR game design.

The session, entitled ‘Make Believe’, is to be given by Games Developer Shanee Nishry and VR games developer Katie Goode.

I/O has traditionally seen unveiling of new, Android based flagship hardware, although the likelihood of Google showing a branded VR headset seems unlikely. It is however encouraging to see Google to continuing to show its commitment to mobile VR.
