Announced today at Oculus Connect, Owlchemy Lab’s Job Simulator is now among a number of launch titles to integrate Oculus Touch, the company’s hand-held controllers that feature both hand and basic finger tracking. The new ‘office worker’ level was also revealed, making it the game’s third level we’ve seen thus far.
Job Simulator is a tongue-in-cheek reconstruction of the past… from the perspective of the future. The only problem is they didn’t seem to get everything right, like the keyboard with only ‘0’ and ‘1’ for buttons, or the copier that replicates anything you put into it.
‘Officer Worker’ makes for the third installment of the levels revealed by Owlchemy, including ‘Gourmet Chef’ (seen on HTC Vive) and the ‘Convenience Store Clerk’ level teased earlier this month.
According to Owlchemy, Oculus Connect 2 attendees will have the opportunity to get a hold of the new Office Worker job demo. The video specifically says that it will be available holiday 2015, but you can bet they’re talking about the HTC Vive launch which isn’t far away.
We’ll post our impressions soon, so check back for updates.
