Blair Renaud, the sole member of virtual reality codehouse IrisVR, has released a video to demonstrate what we can expect from the next beta release of Technolust, his Blade Runner inspired, futuristic thriller, now running in Unity 5.

Technolust has been on our ‘can we have it now please?’ watch list for quite some time now. It’s neon-dystopian-cyberpunk styling seems to be a perfect aesthetic for a virtual reality adventure. The made-for-VR game’s roots are in an early 2014 Kickstarter for the project which raised $64,478 CAD, more than doubling the goal of $30,000.

The game’s creator Blair Renaud has been providing peeks at the game over the course of development and has just released a video showing new areas and gameplay as way of a preview for a forthcoming beta release of the title. New playable arcade games are shown as well as new areas, and thanks to the brand spanking Unity 5 engine, it’s looking better than ever (as long as you love lens flares!).
