Null of Hope takes your memories of 8 bit illustrated adventure games, turning on it’s head whilst throwing the lot into an immersive VR powered experience. Watch the debut trailer.

Back in the 8 bit computing era, adventure games driven by text input and powered largely by player imagination were the norm. Franchises like Zork, were as immersive as gaming got back then, later evolving to include illustrations but whose gameplay mechanics still revolved around  keyed input and a claver text parser.

Null of hope seeks to revive those days of imagination fuelled exploration with it’s retro visuals juxtaposed against an ever changing immersive stage.     Pretty fun game and innovative idea! You have to like the classic adventure games though, since the actual gameplay boils down to just playing a classic (looking) look/push/pick up/etc adventure game. The rest of the action happens around you but there’s no interaction with that (a far as the demo concerns, that is), but to me that doesn’t matter though.
