Taking to the stage at PlayStation Experience, developer Double Fine has announced a Psychonauts VR experience which will be exclusive to PlayStation VR.
Having recently announced a sequel to cult-classic Psychonauts (2005), Double Fine has just announced that the studio is also working on a standalone virtual reality experience titled Psychonauts In the Rhombus of Ruin. The game tells the story of what happens immediately after the end of Psychonauts and will bridge the gap to the forthcoming sequel.
No details on the release of the title except that it will be exclusive to PlayStation VR. No screenshots or video of the experience in action have been revealed just yet, though studio head Tim Schafer says that PlayStation VR is the perfect platform to experience Psychonauts’ psychedelic world. Presumably the game will launch during or after the PlayStation VR launch in Q2 2016.
