Immerse yourself in the vast, beautiful world of EVE Online via this new 360 video which aims to illustrate the hugely popular MMO from CCP Games at its grandest.
Have you ever toyed with the idea of trying EVE Online but the tails of steep learning curves and dense and difficult to unravel political factions put you off? Well thanks to this new 360 video, you can give it a whirl (quite literally) without ever having to worry about all that.
Captured by Scott Manley, popular YouTuber, Astronomer and Scotsman, this new 360 video cuts together various epic scenes from the online world of New Eden, featuring assembled fleets of ships from various factions. “The universe of Eve Online is rich in lore and with hundreds of spacecraft models I felt it would make an excellent subject for a 360 video. Using the Eve Probe tool I put together a number of scenes showcasing the factions and their spacecraft designs” says Scott via his YouTube channel.
CCP is of course the team behind the ‘built-for-VR’ online, multi-player space shooter EVE:Valkyrie, which is headed for the Oculus Rift and Sony’s Morpheus VR headsets next year. EVE Online however currently has no official VR support present or planned.
