HTC Vive title Fantastic Contraption has flaunted its room-scale credentials to impressive effect in various mixed reality videos. Now, the team from Radial Games and Northway Games demonstrate you can enjoy the title just fine as a seated ‘desk scale’ experience by producing a video which demonstrates just that.
Fantastic Contraption is a game all about wacky, physics-fuelled creativity, and has made much of its room-scale focus. But what if you’re not lucky enough to have the kind of space to make the most of SteamVR’s free-roaming capabilities? Developers Radial Games have released a video that demonstrates the game being played in, for many, a more realistically sized arena, seated at a desk (see it above). And if you haven’t caught the team’s mixed reality video creations, check one out below.
Fantastic Contraption launches alongside and indeed is included with the HTC Vive on April 5th. Pre-orders for the headset went live on February 29th and those ordering now are facing a backorder wait until May until their units ship.
