Big Dorks Entertainment, a studio founded by former Epic Games Lead Designer Lee Perry, is coming out with a new real-time strategy game soon. Dubbed MoonStrike, you’ll battle other users online to take over planets as fast as possible, build ships, and eventually conquer the galaxy.
MoonStrike is said to include three-player multiplayer, and cross-platform play for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Five different races with unique advantages, themed and randomly generated arenas, and an AI that can present players from basic to advanced difficulty should keep you on your toes.
MoonStrike will be available August 2nd, at $20 with a launch discount of 15%. The game will be available through the Oculus Store (Rift) and Steam (Vive, Rift).
To play MoonStrike, you highlight your little diorama-sized planets using your Oculus Touch or Vive controller to launch your galactic fleet at the enemy. By choosing the size of your fleet, you can send out small forces, or the full strength of your combined planets’ production capabilities.
