White Lotus Interactive, the developers behind the successfully Kickstarted Xing: The Land Beyond adventure game for the Oculus Rift, have released reactions filmed at their booth at GDC this year.
It’s almost 12 months since the trio of developers that make up White Lotus Interactive celebrated doubling their Kickstarter goal for their adventure game Xing: The Land Beyond, developed with the Oculus Rift very much in mind. The game is described by the team as a first-person puzzle adventure, and if that description brings to mind genre classics such as Myst, you’re on the right track.
The team had 2 sets of demos available for peoples to play, 4 interactive chapters from the game’s Rain Forest area and an ‘Oculus Mine Cart’ demo. The latter of which caused a minor stir on the VR scene when the team released a video teaser a few weeks ago.
Those that tried the demo, seemingly a mix of Oculus Rift newbies and veterans, were clearly impressed by what they saw.
